By accessing our website, requesting a free estimate, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Changes to Terms

Maker's Windows & Doors reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

Scope of Services

Maker's Windows & Doors provides hurricane impact window installation, impact sliding glass door installation, impact entry door installation, and related consultation services to residential and commercial properties in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and Miami-Dade Counties, Florida.

Service Area

Our services are currently available within Southwest Florida. We reserve the right to decline service requests outside our designated service area or for projects that fall outside our area of expertise.

Licensing & Certification

All installation work is performed by licensed contractors in compliance with Florida state law and applicable local building codes. All products installed carry Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) approval and HVHZ certification where required.

Free In-Home Estimates

We offer complimentary in-home estimates with no obligation to purchase. Estimates are based on measurements, product selections, and project scope assessed during the visit. All estimates are provided in writing.

Quote Validity

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Pricing is subject to change after the validity period due to material costs, labor rates, or other market conditions.

Accuracy of Estimates

While we strive to provide accurate estimates, final pricing may vary if unforeseen conditions are discovered during installation — such as structural issues, non-standard openings, or code compliance requirements not apparent during the initial assessment. Any changes to scope or pricing will be communicated and agreed upon before work proceeds.

Permits & Inspections

Maker's Windows & Doors handles all required building permits for window and door replacement projects. Permit fees are included in your project quote unless otherwise specified. All work is subject to inspection by the applicable county building department.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring clear access to all work areas on the scheduled installation date, removing personal belongings, furniture, and window treatments from the work area, and notifying us of any HOA requirements, deed restrictions, or special conditions prior to scheduling.

Scheduling & Delays

Installation dates are scheduled based on permit approval timelines, product availability, and crew scheduling. We will communicate any delays promptly. We are not liable for delays caused by permit processing times, weather conditions, material supply chain issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

Site Conditions

Our crews will take reasonable precautions to protect your property during installation. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to walls, frames, or surrounding areas. Any damage caused directly by our crew will be addressed and remediated at our expense.

Deposit

A deposit is required to initiate the permitting and product ordering process. The deposit amount will be specified in your written contract. Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or permits have been submitted.

Final Payment

Final payment is due upon completion of installation and customer walkthrough. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Financing options are available through our lending partners — terms and approval are subject to the lender's requirements.

Late Payments

Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance. We reserve the right to pursue collection of unpaid balances through appropriate legal channels.

Product Warranty

All products installed by Maker's Windows & Doors carry manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms vary by product and manufacturer. We will provide you with applicable warranty documentation at the time of installation. Product warranties cover defects in materials and manufacturing under normal use conditions.

Installation Warranty

Maker's Windows & Doors warrants all installation workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation completion. This warranty covers defects in installation that result in water infiltration, improper operation, or structural failure attributable to our workmanship.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, acts of God (including hurricane damage beyond product ratings), unauthorized modifications, improper maintenance, or normal wear and tear. Warranty claims must be submitted in writing within the warranty period.

Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maker's Windows & Doors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to our services, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of revenue, or property damage beyond the direct cost of the services provided.

Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maker's Windows & Doors, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your breach of these Terms & Conditions or your misuse of our services.

Florida Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Lee County, Florida, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Jurisdiction

You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Lee County, Florida for any matters not subject to arbitration. Any legal action must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim.
